WES Member Mark Woodhouse has compiled a superb reference work on the pens that Sheaffer produced in Australia between 1951 and 1961. He has provided it as a PDF electronic file and has given permission for it to be passed on against an assurance that it is not to be used for commercial purposes.
On behalf of those members who find it easier to have source on paper and with Mark’s permission, WES have also printed a small number of copies as an A4 spine stapled booklet (the same size as the WES Journal). It is available through the WES Shop
The content is in three sections. The first has a common style of tabulation of each pen type. A second section lists and illustrates nibs and a third shows barrel and cap inscriptions. Note the date range of these early pens which covers to 1961 so that it concludes with the Snorkel demonstrator.
This is a remarkable piece of research stretching to 45-page sides. For a free electronic copy please contact the Librarian on firstname.lastname@example.org.
