If by chance you are in London between 26th April and 27th August 2019 this British Library exhibition is a must, especially if you are interested in writing and its history and writing instruments. Above all because, apart from the items from the British Museum, British Library and other exceptional collections, there are ten items from the Museum of Writing Research Collection. The latter includes three Roman styli, a complete 17th Century cuir-bouilli penner, three medieval leads, a 1749 Bion ‘plume sans fin’, one of the first 1945 Biros and a quill that belonged to Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
The Exhibition entitled "WRITING: MAKING YOUR MARK", can be found at The British Library, 96 Euston Road, London, NW1 2DB
Hope to see you there!
Alan Cole, Hon. Consultant, Museum of Writing Research Collection.
