1818 Auctioneers is an auction house with a difference. We provide an online auction service to our clients in the UK and globally that covers twenty specialities. These stretch from fountain pens and writing equipment to silver and jewellery, wines and spirits to paintings, imagery and artwork.
This format, with auction listings available for bids over 16 days, has proven successful and is breaking the mould of traditional auctions. We hold four regular pen auctions annually, alongside any single-owner collections that warrant a standalone auction.
A corporate member of WES, we offer to sell on behalf of members at a fixed commission rate of 10% (inclusive of VAT). For any WES members who purchase from us, packing and posting is free of charge.
We are proud to be the first auction house in the category with a WES Quality Mark. Feedback from members about buying at auction is always welcome. Positive or negative, we use it to inform the evolution of our auctions, and we’re always working to improve the perception of auction houses within the society membership.
Like WES, we want to take make the buying and selling of pens easy and affordable to all while encouraging new collectors along the way.
